There is a good chance you will pass by Kızılay since it has been the center of Ankara in terms of location and transportation since the 1950s. You will notice the neighborhood's crowded and lively atmosphere and discover its importance for Ankara's social life by visiting Güvenpark and Güven Monument. Then you can visit Karanfil, Konur and Yüksel streets, which are preferred especially by young people as a meeting point with their bookstores, bars and cafes. If you have some free time, you can take a walk from Kızılay to Tunalı via Büklüm Street, Tunus Street or Atatürk Boulevard, which takes about twenty minutes. This is a route that features much of Ankara's entertainment life and is known by locals by heart.
