Atatürk Orman Çiftliği was established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic, in 1925 as a green area to be used as a farm in Ankara. The farm was used with great importance in the early years of the Republic in order to develop modern Turkish agriculture, increase the quantity and quality of production and ensure the food security of the people. The farm, which at one time included dairy and brewery facilities, has special environmental planning and a rich ecosystem. Atatürk Orman Çiftliği, some areas of which have been controversially opened to construction over time, continues to produce, albeit less. If you visit Atatürk Orman Çiftliği, we recommend you not to leave without trying its famous ice cream.
